Kim was born in Greenville, Pennsylvania. He married the former Diane Borden, June 12, 1981. They have one son, Evan. Kim received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree (1979) from Youngstown State University, Youngstown, Ohio. After answering the call to ministry in 1987, he furthered his education with a Master of Divinity degree from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary (1993) and a Doctorate of Ministry degree (2004).
Kim has served as pastor of Southern Baptist Churches in Louisiana, Alabama, Georgia and most recently in Pennsylvania where he is pastor of Pittsburgh Baptist Church. In addition to his pastoral work, Kim served as Chaplain for the Montgomery Police Department, Montgomery, Alabama (1997-2000). He has served on the Board of the Georgia Baptist Children’s Homes and Family Ministries and as Moderator of the Tucker Baptist Association in Georgia. Kim has been an adjunct professor with New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary where he taught spiritual formation and evangelism.
He served on the Executive Committee of the Southern Baptist Convention from 2015 to 2021. He was the President of the Pennsylvania-South Jersey Baptist Convention and Moderator for the Baptist Association of Southwestern Pennsylvania. Kim enjoys spending time with his family, golf, reading, and exercise.
Jack was born and raised in Pittsburgh and graduated from California University in 1974 with a degree in Secondary Education. Shortly after graduation he married Sue and they recently celebrated their 48th anniversary.
They are blessed with four children and six grandchildren. Jack recently retired after having worked in the fields of marketing, inventory control and administrative work and is very excited to be working with Pittsburgh Baptist Church as Church Administrator.
Don was born in Dayton, Ohio and grew up in Kansas City. He received his Bachelor of Music Education degree from Wichita State University and his Master of Music in Trumpet Performance degree from Arizona State University. Don has played with professional orchestras and ensembles for 30 years, including the Chicago Symphony, Phoenix Symphony, and the Christian touring brass ensemble, The King’s Brass. He has also spent 14 years in full time church music ministry. Don’s wife Helena is from the beautiful Czech Republic and was also raised in a Christian home. They have three boys and moved to Pittsburgh in 2013.
The life verse that the Lord gave to Don early in his Christian walk is Philippians 3:10, “That I may know Him, and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being made conformable unto His death”
Pat Burke has been working as Financial Secretary for seven years. She has served in Adult Choir, Children’s Choir and Children’s Camp ministries at Pittsburgh Baptist.
She has three children and her hobbies are walking and interior decoration.
