Kim Grueser
Senior Pastor

Kim was born in Greenville, Pennsylvania. He married the former Diane Borden, June 12, 1981. They have one son, Evan. Kim received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree (1979) from Youngstown State University, Youngstown, Ohio. After answering the call to ministry in 1987, he furthered his education with a Master of Divinity degree from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary (1993) and a Doctorate of Ministry degree (2004).

Kim has served as pastor of Southern Baptist Churches in Louisiana, Alabama, Georgia and most recently in Pennsylvania where he is pastor of Pittsburgh Baptist Church. In addition to his pastoral work, Kim served as Chaplain for the Montgomery Police Department, Montgomery, Alabama (1997-2000). He has served on the Board of the Georgia Baptist Children’s Homes and Family Ministries and as Moderator of the Tucker Baptist Association in Georgia. Kim has been an adjunct professor with New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary where he taught spiritual formation and evangelism.

He is currently serving on the Executive Committee of the Southern Baptist Convention. He is the past President of the Pennsylvania-South Jersey Baptist Convention and past Moderator for the Baptist Association of Southwestern Pennsylvania. Kim enjoys spending time with his family, golf, reading, and exercise.

Jack Krantosky
Church Administrator

Jack was born and raised in Pittsburgh and graduated from California University in 1974 with a degree in Secondary Education. Shortly after graduation he married Sue and they recently celebrated their 40th anniversary.

They are blessed with four children and six grandchildren. Jack recently retired after having worked in the fields of marketing, inventory control and administrative work and is very excited to be working with Pittsburgh Baptist Church as Church Administrator.

Reverend Andrew Heffner
Worship Leader

Andrew Heffner, the son of a musician/missionary grew up in Lancaster County, PA . He attended Grove City College for a double major in Electrical Engineering and Theology. It was there that he met his wife, Becky, at a Physics Christmas party, where they played Ping-Pong and fell madly in love.

They married 3 1/2 years later. After graduation Andrew and Rebecca served at Fellowship Community Church in Mercer for 5 years, followed by 5 years at Stewartstown Baptist Church in York County, PA. Along the way, they had three wonderful children: Elana (2002), Isaac (2004), and Aaron (2009). In 2008, Andrew and Rebecca moved to Pittsburgh to assist in planting DOXA church in Crafton, while Andrew returned to school at Pitt to earn his teaching certificate in secondary Science.

Currently, Andrew teaches Physics at Woodland Hills High School, and is excited to be leading worship at Pittsburgh Baptist Church.

Kelli Clark

Kelli Clark loves worshiping and serving Christ through music, teaching, and counseling ministries. She graduated in 1990 from Duquesne University’s music therapy program and is pursuing her Masters in counseling through Liberty. Kelli is the mother of 3 children: Aaron, Jesse and Brooke.

A Bible verse she loves is, “My goal is that they may be encouraged in heart and united in love, so that they may have the full riches of complete understanding, in order that they may know the mystery of God, namely, Christ” – Col 2:2

Pat Burke

Pat Burke has been working as Financial Secretary for seven years. She has served in Adult Choir, Children’s Choir and Children’s Camp ministries at Pittsburgh Baptist.

She has three children and her hobbies are walking and interior decoration.


Pittsburgh Baptist Church has a variety of ministries, from health to youth to women’s counseling.

2020 Winter Discipleship Series

Our Winter Discipleship Series offers many opportunities to grow in your faith. Classes will begin on January 8th. Preschool and nursery will be provided in Room 204.

What does it mean to follow Jesus in a world filled with urgent physical, and spiritual needs? In “Something Needs to Change”, David Platt explores that question as he takes you on a mind wrestling, heart wrenching trek through the Himalayas-a life altering journey of obedience to Christ.
